E-commerce: Jr Web Developer

Job Summary: The Ecommerce team is looking for a Jr. Web Developer to manage and execute updates to LimeCrime.com. In this role, you will be responsible for daily product and content updates as well as the management and administration of our Content Management System. You must have a keen eye for detail, a passion for content integrity and user experience, and the ability to contribute to the development of the CMS as well as troubleshooting technical issues. This role will blend the responsibilities of a Web Producer and Jr. Web Developer to support the growing needs of a high-growth independent beauty brand.

Key Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of directly related, progressively responsible work experience
  • Proven experience with enterprise Content/Web Management Systems required
  • Expert knowledge of HTML and CSS with experience in Responsive design
  • Competency with web UX conventions and standards, including accessibility and SEO
  • Experience in website information architecture and page layout planning
  • Understanding of web design/development concepts and processes
  • Ability to write requirements for site functionality
  • Ability to write and execute test scripts to test existing site and new functionality
  • Ability to identify potential process issues/opportunities and provide new ideas or solutions for resolution
  • Able to successfully negotiate a range of projects, from vague to well-defined, simple to complex, implementation to innovation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Great time-management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements, diverse project needs, and tight timelines
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • A keen eye for good content; editorial skills/experience desired
  • Meticulous, highly organized, and strong task/project management skills

Description:

  • Manage the ongoing operation of LimeCrime.com: newsletter creation, product & promotion set up, content loading, updating, publishing, and QA per requirements and requests from business stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot issues affecting product set up, promotions, and content display
  • Identify opportunities to improve the website and continuously validate that the website provides a great user experience.
  • Maintain the quality and style for LimeCrime.com in accordance with the brand style guide
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing team for uploading and editing content
  • Partner with the creative team to maintain content quality and uphold editorial standards
  • Collaborate with third party vendors and internal partners to receive and deploy code to various staging, QA, and UAT environments while maintaining version control over HTML assets
  • Manage, upload, and implement multimedia assets for all website environments
  • Work with the development team to identify areas of opportunity in the CMS application implementation to deliver new features and enhancements

Education: BA/BS degree in relevant field
